The freaks come out at night...

What is happening in the world of entertainment? It seems like everyone as just let loose and flipped their lids! Lupe is off calling the president a terrorist, we all know about Chris Brown, Amy Whinehouse broke out of rehab, Wiz has blond hair, pretty sure I heard Diddy changed his name to swag or something stupid like that, Charlie Sheen has Tiger blood and Adonis DNA (-__-), and I'm sure there are plenty more that I can't think of right now!

Just someone tell me why this OK! I mean if I went on national television spouting that Obama was a terrorist, with blond hair, talking about Tiger blood I would have been hauled off by Secret Service and later handed over to Intervention. Why is it fine for entertainers to be completely off their rockers and not me?! Don't get me wrong I like not be a cra cra (shout out to my bestie for that term!) But shouldn't we all be held to the same standards? There has to be someone to put them in their place so to speak! Cause I know if it were me I would be shut down by just about everyone in the country!

I mean if no one wants to do it I will!! Just grant me access!

After Bible Study last night something hit me; that I have the tendency to be apathetic about things that happen to me in life. I'm willing to just see what happens. Which at times can be a good thing but I have come to realize it hasn't been working for me. There are some things that I need to be more proactive about: 1. My relationship with God. See it's not just enough that I am saved. There is way more to being connected to God then going to church one day a week and telling people that I'm a Christian. While I'm not going to be perfect there are numerous things that I can be doing to strengthen and expand my faith. Beginning with what I do at home. I have always thought that it was possible to just read the Bible once maybe twice a week, pray when I was need of something and everything be OK. This I have come to realize is not true. In order to have the relationship with God that I desire I need to be in constant communication with the Lord. And this has to sta...

#RoadToCandidacy

The moment you've all been waiting for, or maybe not, either way it's here!! As of today at 7:44 am my Qualifying Exams are underway!! That's right, for the next 2 months I will be on locked down writing at least 60 pages in response to 3 questions. Send me snacks, love, luck, motivation, and things to do for fun times (because baby girl will need a break)! Hopefully my depression and anxiety are willing to work with me. With that I am off to get started on Question #1! #RoadToCandidacy

Could you Speak up? I can't hear you.

I have always had difficulty standing up for myself or voicing my voice as the young folks say. Speaking my mind and expressing my thoughts and ideas terrifies me. I'm not confident in my opinions and often worry that I'm wrong. These thoughts are only heightened by my ever present anxiety. I'm constantly overthinking and concerned that no one wants to hear what I have to say. To me, my thoughts don't matter to anyone other than myself. My voice often shakes and gets quiet when I'm trying to express myself. I am either worried that my opinions will harm/offend or will go unnoticed. There are several moments over the course of my life where I regret not speaking up or saying something that was on my mind. There is a constant internal struggle that happens every time I faced with a moment to express myself. More often than not, I end up silencing myself. Which I can openly admit has done nothing for me.  All I ended up with was a nagging regret that I should have sa...
